Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Cashier/Sales Assistant to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and assisting customers with product information and demos. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual skills and experience in technology or retail sales are highly valued to enhance the shopping experience for diverse customers. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales skills, gain retail experience, and contribute to a positive store environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
Process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling
Conduct product demos and provide detailed information about merchandise, especially technology products
Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store presents a clean, inviting environment
Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage with a diverse customer base

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or technical sales preferred
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures
Customer service orientation with the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully
Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform product demos confidently, especially for technology items
Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
Prior experience in merchandising or retail environments is advantageous
Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or evenings if required

Pay: $17.20-$31.84 per hour
