Wii Projects provides Calgary and its surrounding markets with exceptional commercial and light industrial construction general contracting. Focusing on providing clientele with a high level of planning and design services, while simultaneously coordinating between all of the necessary participants to ensure the best desired outcome is achieved.

Summary:

To manage field operations on a project basis as assigned by the Project Managers in the most economical and expeditious manner in accordance with drawings, specifications, current NBC(AE) and O.H.S.

Role Description:

The Construction Superintendent, in collaboration with office project management staff, is responsible for the day to day management of the construction site on an assigned project, executing field operations in a manner consistent with Company objectives.

Responsibilities:

Initiates, coordinates, directs and evaluates plans, schedules and site personnel to ensure project objectives.
Implements and manages the Wii Projects COR Safety Program; perform regular hazard analysis and toolbox meetings.
Ensures sufficient manpower is provided to achieve safety, schedule and quality objectives.
Prepares overall work plan and schedule in conjunction with Project Manager.
Reviews and provides assistance regarding quality assurance and control.
Monitors all site instructions and change notices and makes adjustments as required.

Qualifications:

You have at least 3-4 years progressive experience in the general contracting industry as a Superintendent with focus on Industrial and Commercial projects. Carpentry background is preferred.
You effectively provide overall supervision, coordination and scheduling of construction activities and consistently complete projects on time, on budget, to a predetermined quality and to the client’s satisfaction.
A strong leader and problem-solver, you are able to build and steward trust with clients, subcontractors, and team members to effect competitive excellence and pride in teamwork with outstanding project delivery.
You must also have local market construction experience and be willing to travel within Calgary and the surrounding areas.
You have demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality and administration.
Sound knowledge of construction and building techniques is required.
Sustainability Training and knowledge of virtual design will be considered an asset.
Willingness to learn new technology in support of an integrated team approach. ie: CMS . . .
Pickup truck is preferred.
