Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pump Operator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining pumping equipment to ensure the efficient transfer of fluids in oil & gas or heavy industrial settings. Your expertise will help keep operations running smoothly, safely, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy machinery, apply mechanical knowledge, and contribute to critical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is energetic, safety-conscious, and eager to take on hands-on responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate and monitor various types of pumps and associated equipment to facilitate fluid transfer processes.
Conduct routine inspections of pumps, valves, gauges, and other mechanical components to ensure optimal performance.
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling equipment parts or materials required for maintenance or setup.
Follow detailed operational procedures and safety protocols during all phases of pump operation.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly, performing minor repairs or coordinating with maintenance teams as needed.
Maintain accurate logs of pump operation, maintenance activities, and any incidents or irregularities encountered during shifts.
Assist in the setup and shutdown of pumping systems for scheduled operations or emergency responses.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand pump systems, valves, gauges, and related machinery.
Experience working within the oil & gas industry or similar heavy industrial environments.
Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment parts or materials.
Proficiency in operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently in demanding conditions.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance and operational accuracy.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report operational status clearly.
