Full job description

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and personable Dental Receptionist to join our dental team. The successful candidate will be an important part of our front-office operations and will help ensure the office runs efficiently while providing an exceptional experience for our patients.

The ideal candidate is confident working in a busy dental environment, has strong knowledge of dental terminology and administrative procedures, and demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate daily front-desk operations.
Manage patient scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, and recalls.
Greet patients and provide a warm, professional customer service experience.
Answer and manage telephone calls, emails, and patient inquiries.Process dental insurance claims, estimates, and payments. Experience with dental insurance claims, treatment estimates, payment processing, and recalls is an asset.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Work efficiently with dental practice management software and electronic health records. Experience with ClearDent dental practice management software is considered a strong asset.
Assist with training and supporting front-office team members.
Help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming reception area.
Follow office policies and procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Perform other administrative duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a Dental Receptionist or Dental Office Administration certificate program, or Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental receptionist in a dental practice, with demonstrated ability to independently manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, billing, patient records, and front office operations.
Working knowledge of dental terminology, appointment scheduling, dental software, and insurance processing.
Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with common office productivity software, dental practice management software, and electronic health record systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy dental office.
Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude.
Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team.
