Nous sommes actuellement à la recherche d'un.e contrôleur.euse qui travaillera à partir de notre siège social canadien à Laval. Le.la contrôleur.euse tient à jour et contrôle le grand livre et est responsable de l'enregistrement exact des transactions conformément aux politiques locales et à celles de l'entreprise. Ce rôle comprendra un travail d’analyse et une revue approfondie des données financières.

Ce poste clé supervise les activités du département en mettant l'accent sur la production des états financiers et de rapports dans les temps voulus. Le contrôleur supervise et fait la revue des activités des membres de l'équipe qui sont responsables de l'enregistrement des transactions quotidiennes.

Responsabilités:

− Diriger les opérations comptables quotidiennes de PIP Canada Ltée;

− Gérer tous les aspects du processus de fin de mois dans le respect des délais de l'entreprise, incluant la production d'états financiers, divers calendriers de rapports et l'analyse d'informations provenant de plusieurs sources de données;

− S'assurer que les résultats communiqués soient conformes aux NCECF et aux politiques de l'entreprise;

− Préparer certaines écritures de journal et passer en revue les écritures de journal des membres de l'équipe;

− Passer en revue et tenir à jour les rapprochements des comptes de bilan;

− Vérifier l'exactitude des transactions du grand livre, des comptes créditeurs et de la paie;

− S'assurer que les transactions soient comptabilisées, documentées, revues et appuyées conformément aux politiques comptables de l'entreprise;

− S'assurer que des contrôles financiers internes adéquats soient implémentés et suivis;

− Tenir à jour les comptes du grand livre, y compris l'analyse des principaux comptes de régularisation, de prépaiements (et l'amortissement adéquat) et autres comptes importants;

− Gérer le plan comptable dans le logiciel local de planification des ressources de l'entreprise (ERP) et assurer la coordination avec le service de planification et analyse financières (FP&A), le cas échéant;

− Contribuer aux prévisions et à la préparation du budget annuel.

− Responsable de l'audit annuel et de la préparation du rapport financier annuel: travailler avec les auditeurs externes lors des audits de fin d'année;

− Fournir des analyses des résultats réels par rapport au budget et travailler en étroite collaboration avec les chefs de service pour répondre aux questions et connaître les dépenses de leur service;

− Élaborer et implémenter des systèmes efficaces de collecte, d'analyse, de vérification et de communication des données financières de façon plus efficiente;

− Observer les procédures et les processus comptables et fournir des recommandations concernant les améliorations et les efficiences opérationnelles;

− Implémenter des procédures comptables, des politiques financières et des processus d'amélioration continue;

− Diriger l'attribution des tâches et des responsabilités quotidiennes et aider le Directeur Financier sur d'autres aspects liés à l'équipe;

− Gérer des projets ad hoc au besoin.

Expérience et exigences:

− Baccalauréat en comptabilité ou en finance;

− Minimum de 7 ans d'expérience progressive en comptabilité, dont une partie importante dans un rôle de supervision. Une expérience dans une organisation internationale serait un atout;

− Excellentes habiletés de communication verbale et écrite et capacité à travailler à tous les niveaux d'une organisation;

− Solides habiletés de leadership et détermination à diriger et à obtenir des résultats;

− Valoriser et maintenir la confidentialité;

− Flexibilité et capacité à s'adapter à l'évolution des besoins de l'entreprise dans un environnement où les délais sont serrés;

− Habiletés approfondies en Microsoft Excel. Expérience avec d'autres systèmes financiers.

We are currently seeking a Controller, working out of our Canadian Headquarters in Laval, QC. The Controller maintains and controls the General Ledger and is responsible for the accurate recording of business transactions in accordance with both local and corporate policies. This role will include analytical work and a thorough review of financial records.

This key position in the Accounting Department oversees the department’s functions with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting. The hands-on Controller oversees / reviews activities of team members who are responsible for recording of day-to-day transactions.

Responsibilities:

− Lead the day-to-day accounting operations of PIP Canada Ltd.

− Manage all aspects of the month-end close process in adherence with corporate timelines, including production of financial statements, various reporting schedules, and analyzing information from several data sources.

− Ensure that reported results comply with ASPE and corporate policies.

− Prepare certain journal entries, as well as review team member journal entries.

− Review and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations.

− Review general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll transactions for accuracy.

− Ensure transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed, and supported in accordance with corporate accounting policies.

− Ensure that proper internal financial controls are implemented and followed.

− Maintain general ledger accounts, including analysis of key accruals, prepaids (and appropriate amortization), other significant accounts.

− Manage chart of accounts in local ERP and coordinate with FP&A, as applicable.

− Assist with forecasting and preparation of the annual budget.

− Responsible for annual audit and with preparing annual financial report; work with external auditors during year-end audits.

− Provide actual to budget analysis and work closely with department heads to answer questions and be knowledgeable about their department spend.

− Develop and implement effective systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information more efficiently.

− Observe accounting processes and procedures, and provide recommendations regarding operational improvements and efficiencies.

− Implement accounting procedures, financial policies, and continuous improvement.

− Lead assignment of day-to-day tasks and responsibilities and assist the Finance Director with other team related matters.

− Handle ad-hoc projects as needed.

Experience and requirements:

− Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

− 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a significant portion of it being in a supervisory role. Experience in a global organization a plus.

− Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to work across all levels of an organization.

− Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.

− Values and maintains confidentiality.

− Flexible and able to adjust to evolving business-needs in a deadline-driven environment.

− Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
