We are looking for a talented Pastry Cook to make different types of baked goods and who is passionate about baking. You should be able to follow instructions and work with a high level of attention to detail. Knowledge of health and safety rules in the kitchen is very important. We expect you to work quickly and efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities

Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and baking tools
Bake various pastries according to specific recipes (e.g. cupcakes, cookies)
Clean up all workstations and kitchen equipment before closing time
Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly
Use proper equipment (e.g. mixers, ovens, blenders)
Ensure that all food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Capable of scooping cupcakes and cookies quickly and efficiently for a good length of time
Be at ease to lift 20kg bags
Comply with health and safety regulations
Maintain a positive attitude towards your coworkers and management

Skills

Proven experience as a Pastry cook
Excellent knowledge of various baked goods (e.g. cupcakes, cookies, scones, loaves)
Aptitude in using kitchen equipment including mixers, blenders and ovens
Good time-management skills
Decorating skills (piping icing on cupcakes) - A MUST!
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
High school diploma or equivalent; diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
