The Opportunity

You know how to close business. You understand what moves a deal forward, where opportunities stall, and how disciplined pipeline management turns activity into results.

You also know how to lead people—setting clear expectations, coaching effectively, creating accountability, and helping salespeople perform at a higher level.

Ferguson is looking for a hands-on Sales Manager to lead a growing team of approximately 5 inside and outside sales professionals from our Burnaby head office.

This is a player-coach role with a clear mandate: develop the team, improve conversion, grow revenue, and build a stronger sales operation.

You will own sales performance while remaining close enough to the pipeline to support complex opportunities and help close important business. You will also work directly with senior leadership to improve sales processes and contribute to Ferguson’s growth strategy.

What You’ll Own

Lead, coach, and develop a team of inside and outside sales professionals
Own team conversion, revenue performance, sales activity, and pipeline health
Establish clear individual and team targets and create accountability for results
Run daily huddles, weekly pipeline reviews, call reviews, and coaching sessions
Coach the team on discovery, consultative selling, objection handling, follow-up, and closing
Ensure leads are distributed effectively and followed up on consistently
Review open opportunities and identify where deals are stalling
Step into complex, high-value, or challenging opportunities to help close business
Coordinate the handoff between inside and outside sales so opportunities are managed seamlessly
Use CRM data and performance metrics to identify gaps and improve results
Hire, onboard, and develop new sales professionals as the team grows
Address performance concerns directly, constructively, and fairly
Work with senior leadership to improve sales processes and support growth initiatives

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a successful sales manager who understands both sides of sales leadership: driving results and developing the people responsible for them.

Required Experience

At least one year of supervisory or management experience leading a sales team
At least 3–5 years of successful sales experience, ideally in home services or another consultative B2C sales environment
A demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets and closing business
Experience coaching salespeople and improving individual performance
Strong knowledge of pipelines, lead management, conversion, forecasting, and follow-up
Experience managing both sales activity and revenue outcomes
Confidence stepping into important opportunities and challenging client conversations
The ability to use CRM data and sales metrics to identify problems and drive action

Direct sales experience in moving and storage, home services, logistics, call-centre sales, or another B2C service business is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Your earning potential is directly connected to the results you help create.

Base salary of $65,000–$75,000, based on experience
Performance-based commissions and quarterly bonuses tied to team revenue, conversion, and personally closed business
On-target total earnings of $110,000–$135,000, including base salary and performance-based compensation

Full-time, Monday-to-Friday schedule with consistent business hours
In-office position at Ferguson’s modern Burnaby head office
SmartMoving CRM and RingCentral
Direct access to senior leadership
