Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Cabinet Installer to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cabinetry, carpentry, and general construction, with the ability to read blueprints and work with various hand and power tools. This role involves installing kitchen cabinets efficiently and accurately, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with a background in woodworking, cabinetry, or related trades will thrive in this position.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to ensure precise cabinet placement.
Measure spaces accurately to determine the correct positioning of cabinets.
Prepare work areas by clearing space and protecting surrounding surfaces.
Use hand tools and power tools to install cabinets securely, including mounting, leveling, and aligning units.
Handle heavy lifting of cabinets and related materials safely and efficiently.
Install additional components such as countertops, trim, or hardware as needed.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards.
Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during installations.
Assist with related tasks such as drywall patching, painting, or minor repairs if required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in cabinet installation, carpentry, or general construction work.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to cabinetry and construction projects.
Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hammers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws).
Knowledge of construction processes including framing, drywalling, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, or roofing is a plus.
Strong understanding of schematics and construction estimating is advantageous.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills.
Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites.
Handyman experience or background in masonry, concrete forming, rebar installation, siding, or restoration is beneficial but not required. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within residential or commercial settings while honing your skills in cabinetry installation and broader construction trades.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
