Full job description

Our menu is based on traditional Japanese cuisine and north American sushi.

We strive for excellence in all aspects of service, aiming for high standards in both speed and discipline. Maintaining a clean and organized environment is also extremely important. A minimum of two years of kitchen experience is required.

Our Japanese restaurant is currently hiring a line cook or sushi chef (full-time or part-time). Experienced candidates are preferred. We are looking for a meticulous and responsible individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Employee parking is available.

Salary plus tips. Salary will be determined based on experience.

*Requirements:*

•High reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.

* English proficiency is required.

* Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking methods, or a strong desire to learn further. Kitchen experience in a Japanese restaurant is a plus (but not required).

* Must be legally qualified to work in Canada (work permit, permanent residency, citizenship, etc.).

* A strong sense of speed, accuracy, and cleanliness is essential. * Even during busy periods, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and take proactive action is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
