Position Details

Euro Tile & Stone is looking for a Receptionist, to be a part of our growing team in our Toronto location.

What You will Be Doing

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Receptionist is responsible for always communicating effectively and professionally to clients and visitors to Euro Tile & Stone. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and provides a welcoming, pleasant environment with visitors to the showroom, by answering phone calls and emails from clients, suppliers or vendors and redirecting them in an appropriate manner.

Welcoming all clients and visitors to our Showroom by greeting them, in person or on the phone; answering or referring inquiries in a professional and personable way.
Screening calls and directing them to the appropriate person or department and ensuring clients and visitors are met in a timely manner.
Booking appointments for showroom clients
Updating and maintaining branch staff directory
Maintaining front reception area and any meeting rooms in a clean and presentable fashion.
Preparing any packages for courier.
Assisting Sample Department as needed
Photocopying and distributing materials for any managers, as required.
Sorting and distributing all incoming mail and preparing all outgoing mail at the end of each day ensuring appropriate postage and handling.
At all times representing Euro Tile & Stone in a professional manner and adhering to all policies and procedures pertaining to dress code.
Conducting all work in accordance with all appropriate Health and Safety regulations together with the suitable administrative policies and procedures.

What You Bring to the Role

An understanding that the client is central to everything we do
Ability to communicate proactively and clearly in person, over the phone and by email
Mature, positive, friendly, courteous attitude
Balance all types of communication and responsibilities
Proactive problem solver. That also means identifying potential problems and taking care of them before they might escalate
Able to use technology especially Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Minimum of two years’ experience as a receptionist or in an admin assistant role, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Knowledge of general office procedures and filing systems.
Working knowledge of phone systems
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A good attention to detail.
Ability to organize and prioritize your tasks.
A friendly personality and enjoy working with people.
Excellent communication skills in English.
