Full job description

Role Overview

This full‑time, permanent Field Account Manager role supports a long‑established industrial supplier serving aggregate operations, construction materials, and related sectors. The work is primarily relationship‑based: maintaining existing accounts, visiting sites, understanding customer needs, and representing the company across the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Sea‑to‑Sky, and Vancouver Island regions. This is an outside, field‑based role with a company vehicle provided.

Requirements:

3+ years of outside sales or territory management experience, ideally in industrial, construction, manufacturing, aggregates, or related sectors.
Ability to manage and grow an existing book of business through regular customer visits and relationship‑building.
Comfort working in small, hands‑on operations where you may wear multiple hats.
Strong technical curiosity. Able to learn product requirements, site conditions, and industrial applications.
Organized, self‑directed, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the assigned region.

Nice‑to‑Haves:

Experience selling steel products (welded wire, expanded metal, perforated plate).
Experience in sand & gravel / aggregate operations, construction materials, or industrial distribution.
Basic familiarity with CRM systems.
Experience working with industrial contractors, pit operations, or fabrication shops.

Responsibilities:

Manage a well‑established territory of long‑term customers across the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley (to Hope), Sea‑to‑Sky (to Pemberton), and Vancouver Island.
Conduct regular site visits to maintain relationships, understand operational needs, and identify new opportunities.
Represent the product line (aggregate materials and industrial steel products) with a consultative, service‑oriented approach.
Monitor customer activity and ensure consistent follow‑up, service levels, and issue resolution.
Support light new‑business development by introducing yourself to potential customers while in the field - not high‑pressure sales.
Provide feedback on market activity, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate with internal staff on product availability, logistics, and customer support requirements.
Maintain accurate territory notes and basic CRM data (if applicable).
Support general operational needs typical in a small business environment.
