Full job description

Spend your summer working outdoors at a stunning private estate where no two days are the same! We're looking for enthusiastic, hard-working Assistant Groundskeepers to join our team for the season. If you love being outside, enjoy hands-on work, and want to build real, transferable skills this summer, this is the role for you.

This is a great opportunity for a student looking to gain practical experience in landscaping, property care, and equipment operation, all while working in a beautiful rural setting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with general grounds maintenance including mowing, weeding, and seasonal clean-up
Support landscaping tasks such as planting, pruning, transplanting, and orchard maintenance and harvest
Help maintain and repair irrigation systems across the property
Assist with light mechanical maintenance on equipment such as tractors, lawnmowers, and trimmers
Help fuel, clean, and prepare groundskeeping and recreational equipment for use
Support pool and hot tub maintenance, cleaning, and seasonal care
Assist with yard and shop organization, cleanliness, and general upkeep
Help plan and carry out seasonal landscape, lawn, and tree maintenance activities
Assist with recreational vehicle cleaning, servicing, and fueling
Follow safety procedures and support current First Aid standards on site

Qualifications and Experience

Some experience or interest in landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labour is an asset
Knowledge of basic workplace safety practices
Able to perform physically active work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently
Basic ability to communicate via email/text and use electronic tools
Reliable transportation to and from work
