Journeyperson Mechanic (Full-Time) - Whistler, BC

What You’ll Do:

Diagnose and repair vehicles using diagnostic tools to identify issues and perform necessary repairs, maintenance, and part replacements. Operate buses for testing and diagnostics as needed.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including CVIP inspections. Maintain accurate service records and manage parts procurement.
Collaborate with technicians, management, and drivers to meet shop priorities and schedules. Follow all safety, environmental, and HR procedures in line with OH&S and inspection standards.
Keep a clean, safe workspace and communicate effectively with the team. Support apprentice training, suggest training needs, and attend required company programs.
Utilize diagnostic software such as Cummins INSITE, Voith, WABCO and OEM-specific programs to identify and resolve faults.
Complete work orders, maintenance records, and inspection reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Respond to road calls and perform on-site repairs when required.
What We’re Looking For:
Journeyperson Technician Certification (Commercial Transport, Automotive Service or Heavy Duty)
4th year apprentices writing their Red Seal exam soon may be considered
2–5 years of related experience, including exposure to working as a Journeyperson Mechanic
A valid Class 5 driver’s license with an air brake endorsement, and no more than 3 demerit points on your record.
Strong analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
Excellent Health & Safety Knowledge, particularly OH&S rules and regulations guidelines, with a keen eye for detail
Employment is contingent upon receiving a favorable background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
Bonus Points if You Have:
Certification in Vehicle Conversion (CNG or CNG/LPG) is a strong asset
A CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) License is an asset
Prior experience maintaining transit vehicles or a large fleet is an asset
Previous experience in WFA is considered an asset
