WE’RE GROWING!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic candidate to join our team in the renovation and construction field.

This is a full-time, 40-hour work week opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and enjoys a challenge.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
Bilingual (English & French) preferred

Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain the physical integrity of assigned properties through general upkeep and maintenance
Perform cleaning tasks and minor repairs (general construction)
Complete physically demanding work using ladders and power tools, including lifting to 40 lbs (17 kg)
Mud, sand, and paint walls in living units, hallways, and common areas

Skills & Abilities

Exercise sound judgment and initiative
Drywall installation and finishing
Trim carpentry (doors, baseboards, shoe molding, casing)
Flooring installation (laminate and hardwood)
Ceramic tile installation (wall and floor)
Follow safe work practices and properly use CSA-approved protective equipment
Comfortable working on ladders
Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
Good communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of various building trades
Education & Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in residential renovation or a related field
Knowledge of safe work practices in accordance with the Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act

Il s’agit d’une occasion de travail de 40 heures par semaine offerte aux personnes qui ont un penchant pour la mécanique et aiment les défis.

Les tâches comprennent les suivantes :

Conserver l’intégrité physique du bâtiment en assurant l’entretien général des propriétés désignées.
Effectuer le nettoyage et des réparations mineures (p. ex. construction en général).
Accomplir des tâches exigeantes sur le plan physique à l’aide d’échelles et d’outils électriques et en soulevant des charges allant jusqu’à 40 lb (17 kg).
Appliquer l’enduit de finition, sabler et peinturer des murs à l’intérieur d’unités de logement, dans des couloirs et à d’autres endroits autour du bâtiment.

Capacités:

Faire preuve de jugement et d’initiative.
Installation de gypse et finition de gypse.
Installation en menuiserie (installation de portes, de moulures de tout genre).
Installation de plancher (plancher laminé, plancher de bois franc).
Installation de céramique (mur et plancher).
Appliquer des pratiques de travail sécuritaires, afin d’utiliser adéquatement l’équipement de protection approuvé par la CSA et les renseignements en matière de sécurité fournis sur les lieux de travail.
Être capable et à l’aise de grimper sur des échelles.
Prêter attention aux détails et posséder d’excellentes compétences de service à la clientèle.
Bonnes compétences en communication.

Qualifications:

Le ou la titulaire devrait posséder une connaissance/compréhension de différents métiers du bâtiment.

Études et expérience:

Un minimum de 2 ans d’expérience en rénovation résidentielle ou d’un domaine connexe.
Connaissance de l’application de pratiques de travail sécuritaires aux termes de la Loi sur la santé et la sécurité au travail de la province.
