Creative Production, Channel Management, Series Development & Growth
Humane Solutions is looking for a hands-on YouTube Channel Producer & Content Strategist to help build a dedicated YouTube channel and cohesive video series from the ground up.
This is not a generic social media role.
This is also not just a video editing role.
Applicants must have experience with both sides of YouTube channel development:
- Creative production — filming, editing, storytelling, episode structure, pacing, thumbnails, titles, hooks, and short-form cutdowns.
- Channel backend and growth operations — publishing, metadata, playlists, descriptions, YouTube Studio, analytics, retention, packaging, optimization, content scheduling, channel organization, and performance improvement.
Applicants must have hands-on experience with both the creative production side and backend/channel management side of YouTube. We are looking for someone who understands how to build and operate a cohesive YouTube channel or series, not just someone who can edit videos or schedule social media posts.
The primary focus of this role is developing, filming, editing, publishing, managing, and growing a cohesive YouTube channel built around real field work, difficult service problems, remote locations, wildlife-related challenges, and educational storytelling.
Social media will support the YouTube channel, but YouTube is the core of the role.
Required Experience
Applicants must have direct experience helping create, manage, or grow a YouTube channel or cohesive video series.
You should understand the full YouTube content lifecycle:
concept → episode planning → filming → editing → title → thumbnail → upload → description → metadata → publishing → playlists → shorts → cross-posting → analytics → iteration
We are specifically looking for someone who has experience with both:
Creative Side
- Filming or directing video content
- Editing long-form YouTube videos
- Cutting Shorts, Reels, and clips from long-form content
- Structuring episodes so they are engaging and watchable
- Understanding hooks, pacing, retention, and storytelling
- Creating or helping create thumbnails
- Developing titles that fit the content and audience
- Turning real-world activity into a clear narrative
- Building a recognizable format or series style
Backend / Channel Management Side
- Uploading and publishing through YouTube Studio
- Writing descriptions, tags, chapters, and metadata
- Managing playlists and channel organization
- Reading YouTube analytics
- Understanding retention graphs, click-through rate, watch time, and traffic sources
- Improving future videos based on performance data
- Scheduling content
- Cross-posting Shorts and clips to other platforms
- Maintaining consistency across a channel or series
- Helping build repeatable production and publishing workflows
This role requires someone who understands the creative and operational mechanics of YouTube.
Important Clarification
We are not looking for someone who only knows how to make nice videos.
We are not looking for someone who only knows how to post on social media.
We need someone who understands how YouTube channels are built, packaged, published, organized, measured, and improved over time.
The ideal candidate has been close enough to a YouTube channel or series to understand what happens before, during, and after a video is published.
Who This Role Is For
This role is for someone who wants ownership of a YouTube channel.
You may be a YouTube producer, channel manager, video editor, content strategist, field videographer, creator, or production-minded marketer. What matters most is that you have experience with both the creative and backend sides of running YouTube content.
You should be able to think about story and structure, but also about titles, thumbnails, descriptions, playlists, analytics, publishing workflows, and performance.
The right person understands that a successful channel is not built only in the edit timeline. It is built through a complete system: choosing the right stories, filming them properly, editing them into a compelling format, packaging them correctly, publishing consistently, distributing clips, reading the data, and improving the next episode.
