About the Team

The Operations team reports up to the Operations Manager. This diligent team is responsible for all the production, manufacturing and quality control operations at ECI. The various parts of this team work efficiently together to ensure that the products that we design and manufacture meet the highest quality standards and provide the innovative solutions our customers expect. The technicians, operators and supervisors who are part of this team collaborate daily and have many opportunities to develop their skills and capabilities.

About the Role

We are seeking a proficient and capable Mechanical Assembly Operator to join the Operations team at ECI. The role is responsible for the assembly of mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment. The assembly process for these items will be based on customer specifications and can vary. The operator should be able to follow basic documentation and instructions to complete the assembly process and complete quality control checks and documentation on their work. The ideal candidate has a high attention to detail, can follow instructions clearly and able to adjust their process when necessary. Previous experience in this role, or a similar role, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

· Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products

· Utilize handheld tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gun

· Maintain inventory of product on workstations

· Perform quality checks to ensure the product meets quality standards

· Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified

· Test and inspect the completed unit as outlined in procedures

· Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes

· Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures

· Maintain a clean and safe work area

About You

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to proficiently speak, read and write English

Must be able to follow directions
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills

· IPC 610A knowledge or training

· 1-2 years of mechanical assembly experience is preferred

Salary Range

17.60 - $22.00 per hour
