Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to ensure smooth operation
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high quality and presentation standards
Manage food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and company policies
Handle cash register operations using Micros POS system and ensure accurate cash handling procedures
Assist in interviewing and training new team members, fostering a positive team environment
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to prevent shortages or waste
Enforce cleanliness and sanitation standards across the kitchen and dining areas
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Collaborate with restaurant management on menu planning, special events, and operational improvements
Ensure compliance with all food industry regulations, including proper food handling and safety practices

Experience

Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant management sector
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or bars is advantageous
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating proficiency in customer service and serving roles
Background in the food industry with a focus on restaurant management or hospitality leadership is preferred
