Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial trucks over long distances to deliver freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a dynamic logistics environment, ensuring timely deliveries across various regions.

Duties

Safely operate long-haul trucks across interstate and regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and freight documentation in compliance with federal regulations
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when required to ensure vehicle reliability
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or delays
Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when needed for loading or unloading freight

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with long-haul routes
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for heavy equipment operation
Experience operating forklifts or similar heavy machinery is a plus
Basic automotive repair skills are desirable for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
Familiarity with federal and state transportation regulations and safety protocols

This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safe driving practices, efficient freight handling, and maintaining high standards of vehicle operation. Candidates with relevant experience in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair will be highly valued.

Pay: $36.25 per hour
