Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a <PERSON>. This role involves providing exceptional food service, preparing meals, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling, cooking, and restaurant operations, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities

Determine the size of food portions and costs
Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
Requisition food and kitchen supplies
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Order supplies and equipment
Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Manage kitchen operations

Experience

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards essential
Experience with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation highly desirable
Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for hygiene and safety is a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating enjoyable dining experiences

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Secondary School (preferred)
