About Us:

Mr. Trenchless Sewer + Water is the dedicated excavation and Trenchless division of Mr. Mike’s Plumbing Ltd., one of Calgary’s most respected and fastest-growing service companies. As a COR-certified organization, we specialize in pipe bursting, CIPP lining, deep trench sewer and water replacements, and trenchless technology using TRIC Tools and HammerHead systems.

We take pride in our modern, well-maintained fleet, which includes:

Full-size hydro vac
Three excavators
Skid steer
And other specialized tools and attachments

All vehicles are new or nearly new, and daily greasing and maintenance are expected. We invest in our equipment—and we expect you to help protect that investment.

About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on Excavation Team Supervisor who leads from the ground—not just from the cab. In this role, you’ll supervise and train a crew of 6–8 field workers, ensuring top-tier safety practices and project efficiency on both Trenchless and open-cut sewer/water jobs.

You will work directly with our external safety firm, which conducts weekly audits to ensure full OHS and COR compliance, and will support you in maintaining high safety standards and documentation on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate excavators on trenchless and full trench replacement projects
Train and lead field crew members with hands-on guidance
Enforce and uphold all OHS, COR, and internal safety protocols
Collaborate with our safety firm during audits and field inspections
Oversee setup and use of TRIC Tools, HammerHead, hydro vac, and related equipment
Ensure all machines are maintained and greased daily
Report timelines, job progress, safety concerns, and completion status to management

Preferred Certifications:

NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) – strongly preferred
CSO (Construction Safety Officer) – preferred, not required
Required safety tickets: Confined Space, Ground Disturbance, First Aid, and H₂S

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of excavation experience in deep utilities or civil infrastructure
Proven ability to supervise and train crews effectively
Strong knowledge of OHS and COR safety systems
High attention to equipment care, including greasing, cleaning, and proper use
Experience with trenchless methods or bursting equipment is a strong asset
Valid Class 5 driver’s license required (Class 3 preferred)
