Imperial Capital Developments is a residential construction, renovation, and project management company based in the Greater Toronto Area. We specialize in full-home renovations, home additions, custom home rebuilds, exterior upgrades, landscaping, and high-end residential project management.
We work with homeowners in Toronto, North York, Mississauga, Oakville, and surrounding areas who are planning to renovate, expand, rebuild, or improve their homes.
We are looking for a Marketing & Lead Generation Assistant to support our daily marketing execution and help us consistently generate more exposure, inquiries, and qualified client leads.
This is not a senior marketing strategy role. We are looking for someone who is organized, reliable, detail-oriented, easy to communicate with, and able to follow direction and execute tasks consistently.
Position Overview
The company owner will provide the main marketing direction, project stories, target audience, service focus, and key selling points.
Your role is to turn those ideas into actual marketing execution, including social media posts, short videos, flyer campaigns, customer lead tracking, basic outreach, and event support.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or junior marketing professional who is interested in real estate, renovation, construction, social media, and local business marketing.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media & Content Execution
- Create and publish social media content based on company direction.
- Assist with content for Xiaohongshu / RedNote, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, WeChat, and other platforms.
- Prepare simple social media posts, captions, short video scripts, and image layouts.
- Create before-and-after project posts, construction progress updates, renovation tips, and client education content.
- Edit short videos using tools such as CapCut or similar apps.
- Design simple graphics, covers, flyers, and promotional materials using Canva or similar tools.
- Organize and maintain project photos, videos, and marketing materials.
Job Site & Project Content Collection
- Visit job sites, completed projects, or sample homes when needed to take photos and short videos.
- Capture construction progress, project details, materials, before-and-after shots, and finished spaces.
- Organize all collected materials into proper folders for future marketing use.
- Assist with filming basic short-form video content for social media.
Flyer & Local Marketing Support
- Assist with flyer design, printing coordination, and distribution planning.
- Help coordinate or arrange flyer distribution in targeted neighborhoods.
- Track where flyers are distributed and provide simple reporting.
- Support local outreach campaigns to homeowners, realtors, designers, mortgage brokers, and other potential partners.
- Maintain contact lists for local business development and referral opportunities.
Lead Tracking & Client Inquiry Support
- Track all incoming leads from social media, website, ads, flyers, referrals, and other channels.
- Maintain a lead tracking sheet with customer name, contact information, source, location, project type, budget range, timeline, and follow-up status.
- Respond to basic inquiries using approved company scripts.
- Help qualify leads before passing them to the company owner for further discussion.
- Make sure all potential client inquiries are recorded and followed up in a timely manner.
Open House / Event Support
- Assist with planning and promoting open houses, sample home visits, project tours, or homeowner seminars.
- Prepare invitation graphics, registration forms, reminder messages, and event materials.
- Help with guest registration, follow-up lists, and post-event lead tracking.
- Support on-site event coordination when needed.
Reporting & Administration
- Provide short daily work updates.
- Submit a weekly marketing report.
- Track completed tasks, published content, flyer distribution, customer inquiries, and lead sources.
- Help organize marketing files, photos, videos, contact lists, and campaign results.
- Follow company instructions and complete assigned tasks on time.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Familiar with Xiaohongshu / RedNote, Instagram, TikTok, WeChat, and other social media platforms.
- Basic content creation, photo/video editing, and social media posting experience.
- Comfortable using Canva, CapCut, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, or similar tools.
- Organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to follow instructions.
- Comfortable working remotely while providing clear updates and deliverables.
- Willing to visit job sites, completed projects, sample homes, or event locations when needed.
- Interest in real estate, home renovation, construction, interior design, or local business marketing.
- Must be able to work independently and complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent graduate or junior professional in marketing, communications, media, business, design, real estate, or related fields.
- Experience creating Xiaohongshu / RedNote, TikTok, Instagram, or short-form video content.
- Basic photography or video shooting skills.
- Experience with flyer design, social media graphics, or promotional materials.
- Experience in real estate, construction, renovation, home improvement, interior design, or local service businesses is an asset.
- Familiarity with Chinese-speaking communities in the GTA is a strong asset.
Work Style
This is a hybrid / remote role. A traditional office is not required for daily work. However, the candidate must be available for job site visits, project filming, open house support, and occasional in-person meetings in the GTA.
The role will be evaluated based on completed tasks, marketing output, lead tracking, communication, and consistency.
We are looking for someone who can execute, follow direction, stay organized, and help keep the company’s marketing activities moving every week.
Performance Expectations
This role is execution-focused. The company will provide marketing direction and key topics. The candidate is expected to complete assigned tasks consistently.
Expected weekly tasks may include:
- 3–4 social media posts
- 1–2 short videos
- 1 project photo/video organization task
- 1 local marketing or flyer-related task
- Lead tracking updates
- Basic client inquiry follow-up
- Weekly marketing report
After the first 1–3 months, performance may also be measured by:
- Number of posts published
- Number of videos completed
- Number of flyers distributed or coordinated
- Number of leads recorded
- Number of qualified leads passed to the owner
- Speed and quality of task completion
- Consistency of communication and reporting
Compensation
Compensation will depend on experience, availability, and skill level.
Possible structure:
- Hourly pay or monthly part-time compensation
- Performance bonus for qualified client appointments
- Additional bonus for signed projects generated through marketing efforts
This role may start as part-time or contract, with the possibility of growing into a larger role based on performance.
