Irving Shipbuilding is one of the most modern shipyards in North America, defined by its pace and appetite for change. Irving Shipbuilding is building more than 20 Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ships and River-Class Destroyers as part of the largest and most complex shipbuilding initiative in Canadian history. In this dynamic role, we are looking for change leaders, who can connect with people, drive conversations, direct resources, and pivot on a dime. The Project Manager will play a critical role in the delivery of projects and getting things over the line. This position requires full-time on-site presence.

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Work alongside a diverse team supporting the technology landscape established to manufacture the River-Class Destroyers as part of the National Shipbuilding Strategy

Lead the delivery of IT initiatives through all stages of the project lifecycle

Management of all IT project requirements and artifacts, such as scope, schedule, cost, resourcing, risk, change and quality management

Ensure adherence to quality standards and project deliverables, leveraging Microsoft Azure DevOps for full artifact traceability

Manage communications at all levels of the organization and across various industry partners engaged on the River-Class Destroyer Program

Proactively engage in coaching of team members and foster innovative and creative thinking

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering

5+ years of project management and IT experience with demonstrated career progression

Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent designation

Strong people and process, leadership, and management skills

Able to problem solve and provide solutions with the right sense of urgency

An exceptional communicator, both written and verbal

An influential decision maker with sound judgment and analytical support
