Full job description

We are seeking skilled and versatile Equipment Operators with a minimum of 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience to join our team at a site in the Conklin, AB area. Camp Accommodations and Travel Allowance provided. Shift Rotation 8/6

This role is ideal for safety‑focused and reliable individuals who can confidently operate a variety of machinery in a fast‑paced, field‑based environment. You will be responsible for safely operating equipment such as loaders, skid steers, excavators, graders, dozers, and other machinery as required.

Strong communication skills, the ability to follow directions, and a commitment to maintaining equipment and worksite safety standards are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operating heavy equipment such as Dozer, excavators, loaders, graders and backhoes.
Ensuring the machinery is safe to use.
Inspecting and maintaining equipment. Conducting pre-operational checks, reporting any issues or malfunctions.
Performing basic maintenance, such as refueling, cleaning or replacing worn parts, greasing.
Reading and interpreting plans, understanding project blueprints and specifications.
Following grading, excavation or construction requirements based on provided instruction.
Adhering to safety standards, procedures and regulations on your site.
Using the appropriate PPE.
Transporting materials.
Excavating trenches, holes or foundations.
Documenting work performed, hours of equipment usage and any incidents or damages.

Role Requirements:

Minimum 5 years operating heavy equipment.
Must have excavator experience; loader and dozer would be an asset as well.
Must be able to follow instructions and ensure safe equipment operation.
Safety first attitude.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Must be physically fit, have good reflexes and be mechanically inclined.
Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Candidate must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License and updated Driver’s Abstract
Candidate must also pass a Drug & Alcohol screening Test & Physical demand analysis.

Other safety tickets may be required depending on location and job scope

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
