Job Description

CIMA+’s Infrastructure team combines top-notch skills with an intimate understanding of the local community to deliver customized infrastructure services for municipalities and real-estate developers. We have delivered hundreds of projects across Canada, including innovative solutions for the full spectrum of water and wastewater assets, on time and on budget. We support clients from start to finish, whether for building brand new or assessing, repairing, and expanding on existing infrastructure. Our offices in Western Canada are in the middle of a large growth trajectory. This means new, exciting complex projects that you will have the ability to shape and be a part of. Grow your career by becoming part of a dynamic team as a Senior Project Engineer within our Infrastructure sector. You will work on diverse projects related to land development, municipal, water and wastewater markets in the Alberta & Saskatchewan regions and across Canada within an excellent mentorship network.

You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, options to work from home and in our Calgary office.

Primary responsibilities include:

Lead and manage project teams through all phases of project planning, design, construction, and commissioning of municipal projects (renewal, potable, waste and storm water).
Be supported by technical experts from multiple disciplines including structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, and civil to successfully deliver projects.
Manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA+ to meet client expectations.
Prepare and supervise engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans and contract documents, cost estimates, and construction documents.
Provide subdivision application review and comment services on behalf of Municipal clients.
Lead and assist in the pursuit of new projects, including the development of technical scope workplans, schedule, project team organization, and task-level budgets.
Build relationships with existing and potential clients; liase with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders and contractors.
Coordinate and mentor intermediate and junior staff on fundamentals of project delivery and general project management skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta and /or Saskatchewan.
Minimum 10 years of directly applicable experience in working with land development and/or municipal clients in engineering or project management roles, with a focus on Alberta and Saskatchewan clients.
Proven experience in managing project teams on small, medium, and large consulting projects.
Proven track record of successful business development, and of fostering client relationships.
Excellent communication skills.
