Job Details
The City of St. Albert is hiring Aquatics Instructors (Level 2) to join the Recreation & Parks department’s Aquatic Programs team. These positions deliver Lifesaving Society Swim for Life lessons at Fountain Park Recreation Centre and Servus Credit Union Place.
Qualifications

Swim for Life Instructor/Examiner certification from the Lifesaving Society.

Additional aquatic experience and training are considered assets.

Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and those who hold one or more of the following certifications: Lifesaving Instructor, National Lifeguard (NL), Intermediate First Aid (IFA), Oxygen Administration (O₂), SwimAbilities, JLC Coach, and/or Swim Coach Certification.
Hours of Work

Instructors are needed for a variety of shifts and must be available to work a flexible schedule.

Shifts are primarily scheduled on weekdays from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Some weekday shifts may also be available between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Instructors must work a minimum of eight hours per week, consisting of two four-hour shifts.
Compensation
The wage ranges from $23.48 to $28.54 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
