Founded in 2006, Triple Eight Transport Inc is an asset-based carrier company with terminals in Abbotsford, Calgary, and Edmonton! We provide Full Truck Load Transportation Services to and from major cities in Western Canada and Western US with our own fleet of Reefers, and Dry Vans. Triple Eight Transport is dedicated to personal career growth. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our property portfolio. This role is responsible for managing full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance across multiple properties or entities. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of property management accounting, and the ability to drive accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities will include:

Primary Job Duties:

Accounting:

Post and review journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
Assist in prepare accurate monthly financial statements by property.
Assist with property budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Support year-end audit and tax processes with external accountants.
Improve processes, controls, and reporting in a practical, scalable manner.

Desirable Requirements:

Leasing:

Leasing expert, working with landlords and legal counsel to secure terms that set as formats long-term success.
Experience with executing lease agreements, tracking rent escalations and tenant incentives will be considered an asset.
Experience with leading the end-to-end leasing process will be considered an asset.
Experience with updating and reviewing rent rolls as per lease will be considered an asset.

Skills and Qualifications:

Understanding of commercial leasing through hands-on experience in the field. Don’t need to be a veteran.
2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
Strong full-cycle accounting and period-end close experience.
Working toward CPA or Diploma/Degree in real estate/property management.

Behavioral Indicators:

Detail-oriented, accountable, and self-directed.
Constructive resolution of conflict with parties involved.
Objective approach towards work and open to different opinions and culture.
