Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized ECommerce Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations, SEO health, and ongoing optimization of our online store. Working in lockstep with the eCommerce Manager, this role is a perfect opportunity for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, highly coachable, and looking to develop deep technical, search engine optimization (SEO), and conversion growth expertise within a robust Shopify Plus environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on exposure to the Shopify admin dashboard, an understanding of digital visibility principles, and brings a proactive, "can-do" attitude to a fast-paced retail ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Shopify Plus Administration & Content
● Store Content & Merchandising: Utilize Shopify’s Online Store 2.0 theme editor to execute homepage layout changes, modify section blocks, and build promotional landing pages using native theme settings.
● Structured Data Management: Manage, update, and maintain product data structures using Shopify Metafields and Metaobjects to display specific product attributes and regulatory specifications accurately.
● Operational Automation: Leverage low-code tools like Shopify Flow to build and monitor automated workflows (e.g., automated inventory tagging, fraud risk flagging, and fulfillment routing).
● Event Scheduling: Coordinate and set up Shopify Launchpad to pre-schedule major sales campaigns, price drops, and visual asset swaps for seamless automated execution.
Shopify SEO & Conversion Optimization (CRO)
● On-Page SEO Execution: Clean up and maintain search-engine-friendly metadata, URL redirects, H1/H2 structures, and native alt text tags on all products, collections, and blog posts to drive organic visibility.
● Site Speed & Asset Optimization: Format, crop, and compress digital imagery (banners, collection badges, and product thumbnails) to preserve mobile load times, image aspect ratios, and Core Web Vitals performance.
● Navigation & Link Hygiene: Regularly audit site links, main menus, and filtering parameters to prevent broken navigation or orphan collection pages.
● Retention/Growth Support: Assist in setting up on-site promotional components like native app cross-sells, loyalty point triggers, and foundational tracking codes.
Catalog Integrity & Daily Order Support
● Maintain absolute catalog accuracy across the site, ensuring item master data, product descriptions, and categorization are clean and up to date in Shopify.
● Assist with routine data cleansing and mapping tasks to ensure data consistency across Shopify, our Product Information Management (PIM) solution, and core system syncs.
● Monitor daily order flows and help investigate routine order management issues (e.g., failed platform syncs, basic fulfillment blockers, or transaction discrepancies).
● Help compile standard performance data using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Microsoft Excel to track key metrics like conversion funnels, collection-page view rates, and checkout exit rates.
Qualifications & Core Competencies
● Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on experience working directly inside a Shopify Plus admin dashboard (this is a primary requirement over generic eCommerce platform experience).
● SEO Baseline: Foundational knowledge of modern SEO principles (meta descriptions, title tag optimization, crawling basics, and keyword alignment).
● Coachability: A strong desire to absorb feedback, learn "core-first" platform design principles, and quickly adapt to advanced system and growth workflows.
● Shopify Baseline: Confident foundational comfort with native Shopify collections logic, tagging structures, product options/variants, and navigational menus.
● Data Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, sorting, text manipulation) for cleaning and organizing large batches of product data.
● Attention to Detail: High precision in content management; you naturally catch broken links or mismatched product specs before the customer does.
● Nice-to-Haves: Basic exposure to HTML/CSS, basic familiarity with SEO tools (like Ahrefs or SEMrush), or background in structured retail/consumer goods environments.
