4th-Year Apprentice or Journeyman Plumber – Residential Service & Heating Technician Calgary / Surrounding Areas | $50–$60 per hour depending on experience | Company service vehicle + Health Spending Account

Northern Flame Plumbing & Heating Ltd. is looking for a skilled residential service plumber who takes pride in clean, professional work and genuinely enjoys troubleshooting plumbing and heating systems for homeowners.

This is a full-time, year-round position focused on residential service, troubleshooting, and renovation work in Calgary and surrounding areas. If you love diagnosing problems in occupied homes, working directly with homeowners, and doing the job right the first time — this role was built for you.

What You'll Be Doing

Residential plumbing service and troubleshooting in occupied homes
Diagnosing and repairing plumbing and heating issues
Bathroom, kitchen, and basement renovation plumbing
Installation and replacement of plumbing fixtures, water heaters, and equipment
Furnace troubleshooting, diagnostics, and installation
Natural gas line work
Working directly with homeowners, builders, and contractors
Maintaining clean, organized job sites — leaving every home cleaner than you found it

What We're Looking For

Journeyman Plumber certification in Alberta — OR — a 4th-year apprentice with strong hands-on residential service experience
Minimum 2 years of residential service plumbing experience — troubleshooting and repair in occupied homes is the core of this role
Renovation plumbing experience considered a strong asset
Furnace troubleshooting and installation experience considered an asset
Ability to work independently and problem solve on site without supervision
Strong communication and customer service skills — you're comfortable working directly in people's homes
Valid Alberta driver's licence with a clean driving record

$50–$60 per hour depending on experience and certification level

Where This Role Can Go

Northern Flame is growing fast — the business doubled last year and is on track to double again. We're building the team and systems to scale to $1M+, and we're doing it by finding the right people early.

For the right person, this role has a clear growth path: quality assurance, mentoring new technicians, project coordination, and eventually a service manager role helping build out the service side of the business. We're not promising a title — we're saying the runway is real for someone who earns it.

Have been doing residential service calls and troubleshooting for at least a couple of years and genuinely enjoy it
Take pride in clean, professional work in customers' homes
Are comfortable diagnosing problems independently and making decisions on site
