Full job description

At 10 Acres Farm & Restaurant, we work diligently to ensure our customer’s satisfaction by consistently providing top quality service and delicious locally grown food & drink. We are all here because we love what we do and the people we do it with.

10 Acres at The Pier is looking for a Line Cook to assist in the preparation of dishes in the kitchen for both day time shifts and evening shifts. A great Line cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. The successful candidate is able to follow instructions, as well as health and safety rules in the kitchen. 10 Acres Commons is a fast-paced, fun, and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Comply with health & safety guidelines
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Work as a team
Other duties as assigned

Must be legally permitted to work in Canada
