Full job description

We are currently seeking a Part-time Medical Receptionist preferably with experience in the medical field, to join our team! We are a methadone, addiction, and chronic pain clinic.

The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and a team player. Our clinic environment is fast-paced, so the ideal candidate must have an aptitude for computers, an ability to multitask, and an ease in communicating with both patients and physicians.

The Medical Administrative Assistant will perform a number of essential medical office support activities. This includes helping patients fill out forms, answering patient calls and uploading/faxing important documents. The hours are:

Monday 9am - 2pm

Wednesday 9am - 2pm

Thursday 9am - 2pm

Friday 9am - 2pm

You might be called outside of regular hours, typically with short notice, to respond to emergencies or unexpected situations.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Assist with patient and clinic support

- Collecting a supervised urine sample and entering results in the EMR system

- Data entry

- Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxing and scanning

- Handle any other clerical tasks as required

-Maintaining clinic cleanliness

Qualifications:

- Secondary School Diploma

- Minimum 2 years of experience in Administrative Assistance, preferably in a medical setting

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent planning, organization and time management skills

- Ability to prioritize work

- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

- Experience with EMR system considered an asset
