MINIMAL FORMAL EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related study area, including laboratory analysis techniques
OR
- Completion of a Community College course in a related discipline with one years = directly-related experience.
OR
- High school completion with job-related options with a minimum of four years = directly-related experience.
EXPIERENCE:
- Demonstrated knowledge in HIV preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in research on HIV (publications, presentations in conferences, etc) preferred.
- Demonstrated experience organizing events or workshops preferred.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent communication and written skills required.
- Must have initiative and creative problem-solving and strategic planning abilities required.
- Well organized and attentive to detail required.
- Able to work independently and as a member of a team required.
- Flexible and willing to learn new skills required.
- A satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
- Support the leadership team with administrative and logistic tasks.
- Create a doodle poll and send to all attendees.
- Create a calendar invite and send Zoom/Teams link to all attendees.
- Develop a meeting agenda and slides (if needed).
- Attend the Manitoba hub meetings and events.
- Document minutes and send to members and cc central coordinator after each meeting.
- Follow-up on tasks as needed.
- Update Basecamp with minutes & documents.
- Collaborate with community-based organizations, community members, clinicians, researchers to host a variety of virtual and in-person knowledge mobilization events.
- Coordinate all aspects of these events including technical logistics, presentation materials, activities, etc.
- Create surveys to obtain feedback and carry out evaluations on these events.
- Write the annual reports, and event reports and share them with the hub members and the larger hub team.
- Prepare HIV summaries to generate knowledge translation materials.
- Prepare summary of the events to share on the website.
- Attend the coordinator meetings organized by the national hub.
- Report on activities yearly to central team using provided template.
- May be required to preform related duties not exceeding skills and capabilities as required.
