Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, managing transactions, and ensuring a clean and safe bar environment. Prior experience in food service and familiarity with restaurant operations are highly valued.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
Manage cash handling accurately and efficiently
Provide exceptional guest services by engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards
Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth operations
Upsell food and beverage items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
Assist with food preparation when necessary, following proper food handling procedures
Ensure compliance with all health regulations, sanitation standards, and alcohol service laws
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple guests promptly

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred; hospitality or guest services background is a plus
Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is desirable
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during peak hours
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Kitchen experience or food industry knowledge is advantageous
Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
