Full job description

Stone Eagle Winery is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Pastry Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a passionate pastry professional looking to grow within a refined, ingredient-driven kitchen focused on seasonality, precision, and elevated wine country cuisine.

Working closely with the Culinary Director and leadership team, the Pastry Sous Chef will play a key role in developing, executing, and maintaining a high-level pastry program that complements our food and wine offerings.

What You’ll Do:

Support the development and execution of all pastry and dessert menus
Lead daily pastry production with consistency, precision, and efficiency
Train, mentor, and support junior team members
Maintain high standards of presentation, flavour, and technique
Manage prep lists, ordering, and inventory for the pastry department
Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are upheld
Contribute creative ideas aligned with seasonal and wine-focused menus

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 2–3 years of pastry experience in a professional kitchen
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
Strong foundation in classic and modern pastry techniques
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
Passion for seasonal ingredients and refined presentation
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
