Job Type: Hourly-basis, Full-time & Part-time | $19 to $24 per hour | On-site | Work Eligibility in Canada Required

About this Opportunity

The Richmond Country Club (RCC) is recruiting an Hourly Full-time/ Part-time Line Cook to join our Culinary team. The candidate would report to the Director of Culinary/ Executive Chef and collaborates with the Catering & Events Manager. The individual will work as a cohesive crew with the culinary team to deliver exceptional service to the membership.

The Line Cook is mainly in charge of preparation, plate presentation, and consistent quality of food delivery in a timely fashion.

What are we looking for and what can you bring to the table?

The Line Cook’s duties are:

Consistently preparing and delivering scrumptious food.
Setting up and stocking stations with necessary supplies.
Food preparation and portioning prior to service.
Conducting inventory of products before and after each shift
Cooperating and healthy collaboration with necessary teams involved.
Preparing banquet meals and assisting in cleaning, as required.
Cooking and preparing all menu items in accordance with the standardized recipes, preparation of the correct amounts of all banquet/dining room menu items- i.e. All sauces, cuts of meat, etc.
Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, while complying with Food Safe regulations and safety standards.

2 years of experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen is required.
Quality and volume food production, with an innate sense of cooking.
High standards of organization and time efficiency in a fast-paced operation.
Passion for Culinary product knowledge.

Ability to work independently while foster teamwork.
Having a positive and up-beat persona.
Ability to work in Canada - Work Permit/ PR/ Citizenship status required.

Required Licenses/ Certificates/ Skills:

FOODSAFE Level 1

Shift Availability:

Schedule we can provide: Day shift/ Evening shift/ Monday to Friday and Weekend availability
Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week, flexible shifts
Flexibility Required: Flexible to work weekends and holidays
Start Date: As soon as possible
The individual must be flexible to work weekends and holidays; and would work 40 hours/week during the peak season.

Salary: Starting $19.00 to $24.00 per hour
Supplemental Pay: Gratuity and Event-surcharge payouts
Ability to commute/relocate: Richmond, BC- reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

The Operations:

The RCC clubhouse features kitchen facilities, two restaurants, and an outdoor patio and dining facility.

The F&B department is comprised of two food and beverage outlets and catering for events. As a private club we provide a quintessential dining destination, with our Macan’s restaurant, and a relaxing, casual setting within Aces.
