Job Title: Steamoji Facilitator

About Steamoji: Steamoji is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) based maker academy dedicated to enriching children's educational experience by immersing them in the exciting worlds of fabrication, physical computing, engineering, and digital arts. Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly and energetic individual to join our team as a Steamoji Facilitator. As a facilitator, you will play a crucial role in assisting apprentices with Steamoji missions, fostering confidence and enthusiasm for STEM subjects, and creating a safe and enjoyable environment for children to explore, experiment, and cultivate a growth mindset.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the implementation of the Steamoji curriculum
Contribute to and uphold company culture and Steamoji core values
Review instructional videos before each session
Work closely with 4-6 apprentices to complete missions
Guide apprentices through the making process of Steamoji projects
Provide assistance with tools and equipment, ensuring safety throughout the process
Create and share video artifacts, offering constructive feedback to parents

Qualifications:

High School, College/University Students seeking a part-time position working with children and learning basic technological skills
Basic knowledge of coding and technology, or a quick ability to grasp basic concepts
Energetic, fun, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children
Effective communication skills with both children and adults
Team player with a collaborative mindset
Interest in technology and a willingness to learn basic coding

Job Type: Part-time, Full-time

Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule: Flexible, including weekdays and weekends as needed

Education: University student (preferred) / Secondary School

Experience: Teaching experience (preferred)

Work Location: In person
