This is a full-time position, working Monday through Thursday 7am-5:30pm.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Flavourist is responsible for safely operating production equipment and following Company specified processes to accurately and effectively flavour manufactured coffee.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Prepare coffee flavours using recipes and follow Company specifications
Apply flavours onto coffee product using machinery to meet Company specifications
Apply heat to drums during processing
Prepare flavoured coffee with a high degree of accuracy and quality in accordance with any relevant procedures, work instructions and/or technical specifications
Liaise with the Quality Department on a regular basis
Take flavoured samples to Quality for inspection at planned intervals or when product conformance is in question
Maintain ongoing communication with Production Manager and Supervisor regarding flavouring status
Assist in preparing, monitoring and maintaining the flavour extract inventory
Responsible for grinding flavoured coffee as required
Ensure the lot numbers match with the work orders
Organize, maintain, clean and secure flavouring area on an ongoing basis
Ensure the confidentiality of all flavor recipes
Clean grinder, silos, drums, AJ mixer at specified times
Ensure machinery is in good operating condition and report any issues to management and maintenance
Ensure daily housekeeping is maintained
Working safely and ensuring health and safety is of paramount importance
Conduct monthly inventory required by Production Manager and Production Supervisor
Assist with material handling (bring raw materials to production area)
Adhere to GMP and GDP practices
Adhere to all Food Safety and QA practices
Complete redzone requirement checks in a timely manner
Must wear respiratory mask and other provided PPE during the shift
Assist other production lines, including wrapping pallets during the assembly runs as required
All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of high school diploma and/or equivalent
2 years’ experience operating a machine in a manufacturing and/or production environment is preferred
Ability to lift 50lbs
Ability to push full coffee silos
Food and beverage experience strongly preferred
Able to handle multiple deadlines
Teamplayer
Good verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work well within a team and independently.
