Full job description

At Hospice North Hastings, we believe every person deserves comfort, dignity, and compassionate end-of-life care. We are seeking a Full-Time and Casual Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. Registered Nurses (RNs) are preferred; however, Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) with relevant experience and a passion for palliative care are encouraged to apply.

At our four-bed hospice residence, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families while providing individualized, holistic care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

Provide compassionate, patient-centered palliative and end-of-life nursing care.
Complete assessments, develop care plans, and manage pain and symptoms.
Administer medications and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Support and educate patients and families throughout their hospice journey.
Collaborate with physicians, PSWs, volunteers, and the interdisciplinary team.
Participate in our community Medical Equipment Lending Program.

Qualifications

Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current CPR certification
Excellent assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
Experience in hospice, palliative care, home care, long-term care, or community nursing is an asset
