Full job description

Job Overview
Our client located in Woodbridge is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipper and Receiver to join their warehouse team. This role involves managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving processes, and equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. This position is vital to maintaining smooth distribution workflows in a fast-paced environment, supporting e-commerce and warehouse distribution activities.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments (ocean, air, rail, and ground transportation).
Manage shipping, receiving, warehousing, and delivery operations to ensure on-time material flow.
Oversee customs clearance and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
Maintain shipping documentation, freight records, and inventory accuracy.
Source and manage carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers.
Monitor freight costs, shipment performance, and logistics KPIs.
Resolve shipping delays, damages, discrepancies, and customs issues.
Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, production, sales, and project teams to support operational requirements.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and transportation optimization.
Utilize ERP, TMS, and tracking systems to maintain shipment visibility and reporting.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or supply chain operations.
Strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance, and cross-border shipping.
Experience managing freight carriers, transportation vendors, and logistics partners.
Proficiency with ERP systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across multiple departments.
Relevant supply chain or logistics certifications are an asset.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
