Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various fabrication processes. This role involves working with metals and other materials to create high-quality products while ensuring safety and efficiency in the workplace. We currently have 5 positions available 2 on days and 3 on afternoons. With a pay range of $25-$32/hr.

Responsibilities

Operate welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
Utilize plasma cutting techniques to shape materials as per specifications.
Employ hand tools, power tools, and machinery for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine project requirements.
Conduct quality control inspections on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.
Use measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure precision in fabrication.

Qualifications

Proven experience in welding and fabrication processes.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and hand tools effectively.
Familiarity with rigging practices and forklift operation is a plus.
Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including blueprints and schematics.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Prior experience in machining is advantageous but not required.
Current CWB Ticket for FCAW, MCAW, GMAW in flat/horizontal will be given priority
Willingness to work on afternoon shift will be given preference
