Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Welder to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have experience with MIG welding in a production environment, using jigs and fixtures to produce high-quality welded components according to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding in a cell production environment
Fit, position, and align components using measuring tools, clamps, and fixtures prior to welding
Use fixtures and jigs to assemble and weld parts accurately
Operate machinery and equipment as instructed by Supervisor
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Measure and inspect fitted and welded parts to ensure they meet specifications
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
Follow safety procedures and company policies
Perform additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with JGW’s Code of Business Conduct and Confidentiality Policy

Skill Requirements:

Proven ability to weld MIG in a production setting
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and quality
Familiarity with measuring tools (e.g., calipers, tape measures)
Knowledge of metal types and welding properties
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience with CNC is an asset, but not required
Valid welding certifications/tickets is an asset
Aluminum welding experience (MIG/TIG) considered an asset
TIG welding experience considered an asset
Experience with robotic or collaborative robot welding considered an asset
Manual laser welding experience considered an asset

Effort & Work Conditions:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
Comfortable with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods
Occasional exposure to warm/hot conditions during summer months
Must be willing to work rotating or assigned shifts as needed
Commitment to support production goals and team output

Education & Experience:

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Previous welding experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Location:

This position is based in Princeton, Ontario, just 25 minutes from Kitchener/Cambridge and 10 minutes from Brantford.
