Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Team Member to join our team at our mall location. This role is vital in providing excellent customer service, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized food service area. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and food handling within a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while delivering a positive dining experience for our customers.

Duties

Greet customers, explain menu items, take orders, and accurately process payments using cash registers
Clean, slice, and prepare ingredients.
Use appliances like deep fryers, grills and toasters to heat or prepare fast food items.
Assemble, wrap, and package food for take-out or plate is customers at the counter
Prepare hot and cold beverages such as tea, coffee and fountain drinks
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the utensils, and equipment in the front counter and kitchen staying in compliant all food safety standards
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
Ensure all food is stored properly and handled according to sanitation guidelines
Provide friendly customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred
Knowledge of food preparation, serving, and safety standards
Experience with POS systems is an asset
Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and communication
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one is preferred
Kitchen or sanitation experience an asset
Ability to work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work varied shifts within mall hours; weekends may be required
