We are currently hiring for HVAC Install and Service Manager to join our growing Residential team!

Ashton Plumbing, Heating and Air is a leading provider of plumbing and HVAC services. Our professional technicians work throughout the Lower Mainland providing plumbing, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and mechanical system service and maintenance.

Our Commercial Team has service contracts with over 300 buildings and complete service, maintenance, replacement, and installation work year-round.
Our Residential Team services homes throughout the Lower Mainland, completing around 10,000 service calls and 600 installations per year.
Our Mechanical Construction Team specializes in new construction projects valued between $50,000 to $5 million across all industries including commercial, residential, and industrial.
We have worked for notable companies and several municipal governments including City of Vancouver, City of Richmond, Cadillac Fairview, Westbank, and Wynford Properties.

The HVAC Installation and Service Manager owns the performance, profitability, and standards of the Service and Installation departments.

You ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest workmanship standard while developing technicians into high-performing professionals through both office leadership and consistent field engagement.

Field Leadership Expectation

Approximately 30–40% of time will be spent performing ride-alongs, assisting with complex service calls or installations, conducting quality inspections, and coaching technicians in real time.

1. Department gross margin and financial performance

2. Technician productivity and accountability

3. Workmanship quality and safety compliance

4. Customer satisfaction and issue resolution

5. Operational efficiency and scheduling capacity

6. Technician recruitment, development, and retention

Core Responsibilities

1. Lead the team: Set expectations, coach technicians, conduct reviews, and build a culture of accountability and pride in workmanship.

2. Drive service performance: Coordinate with dispatch, monitor productivity and revenue, and support technical or customer escalations.

3. Deliver installation excellence: Ensure jobs are staged properly, completed safely, and monitored for timelines, quality, and profitability.

4. Manage the department: Monitor budgets and metrics, approve payroll documentation, support forecasting, and maintain fair incentive programs.

Leadership Profile

Leads from the front, is technically respected, holds high standards without ego, makes confident decisions, develops people, and protects culture while driving results.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience in managing small to medium sized residential HVAC projects.
Experience in proper material take offs.
Class 5 license with a clean driving record.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English.
Ability to draw diagrams, read blueprints, and other technical literature.

2-weeks paid vacation to start
