Full job description

Founded in Calgary in 2011, Equium Group is a fully integrated real estate organization
specializing in condominium, commercial and residential real estate services. Our scope of services includes property management, development, construction, marketing, leasing and property investment. Our current portfolio under management is valued in excess of 5 billion dollars.

Equium Group wishes to hire a Property Accountant.

We are searching for a dynamic individual who works well in a fast-paced environment with high volume of activity. The role requires a detailed mindset, ability to meet strict deadlines and adaptability to changing work demands.

Job Duties:

Preparation of monthly financial statements and supplementary reports;
Process monthly move in/move out's and related security deposit transactions;
Process monthly EFT submissions and reconciliation of NSF's;
Processing and reconciliation of e-transfers and Square transactions;
Preparation of annual working papers and documentation for year end audits;
Annual budget preparation;
Property onboarding/offboarding;
Liaise regularly with property management and administration teams;
Prepare ad hoc analyses as required.

Qualifications:

Post secondary education in accounting;
3+ years of full cycle accounting experience with commercial / multi-family / condominium assets;
Prior experience in Yardi Yoyager / Breeze is preferred;
Advanced Excel proficiency;
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills;
Highly organized and able to efficiently handle multiple priorities;
Effective communicator;
Ability to complete assignments with limited supervision;
Aptitude for fostering teamwork and achieving shared goals;
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
