Full job description

Résumé du poste :

Traiter la paie des employés salariés, horaires et rémunérés au kilomètre de diverses provinces du Canada avec une grande précision et dans le strict respect des échéances.

Calculer et préparer les ajustements salariaux, les heures supplémentaires, les indemnités de départ et autres paiements spéciaux pour plusieurs groupes de paie, conformément aux politiques de l'entreprise et à la législation en vigueur.
Émettre les relevés d'emploi et répondre aux demandes de Service Canada.
Collaborer avec les unités opérationnelles internes afin d'assurer que le traitement de la paie reflète fidèlement les politiques de rémunération propres à l'entreprise, tout en respectant la législation en vigueur.
Rapprocher et traiter les cotisations et les paiements aux REER collectifs dans les délais prescrits.
Administrer les avantages sociaux (inscription, cessation d'emploi, modifications et rapprochement des factures).
Fournir au service des finances les rapports de paie et les renseignements nécessaires à la comptabilisation.
Recommander et mettre en œuvre des améliorations visant à accroître la productivité, l'efficacité, l'excellence du service et la conformité totale en matière de paie.
Rapprocher les coûts de paie de fin d'année avec les sommaires RL1/T4 et distribuer les feuillets RL1/T4 à tous les employés, ainsi que les formulaires T2200 et TL2.
Répondre rapidement aux demandes de renseignements de l'Agence du revenu du Canada, de Revenu Québec, etc., concernant la paie.
Appuyer le service des ressources humaines en répondant aux questions relatives à la paie et en contribuant à l'amélioration des processus et de l'efficacité stratégiques.
Vérifier le formulaire TD1, les sommaires de paie, les gains cumulatifs depuis le début de l'année, etc.
Effectuer l'analyse des données et assurer la préparation régulière des rapports de gestion pertinents, y compris les rapports hebdomadaires, mensuels, trimestriels et de fin d'année (paie brute, heures travaillées, congés accumulés, retenues d'impôt, retenues d'avantages sociaux, etc.).
Rapprocher les cotisations à la WSIB de l'Ontario et à la Sécurité sociale du Nouveau-Brunswick chaque trimestre et traiter les paiements rapidement.
Préparer le rapprochement annuel avec la CNESST et effectuer les paiements.
Gérer les saisies-arrêts sur salaire et les retenues anticipées.
Agir à titre d’expert du service en matière de politiques de paie, de gestion du temps et de meilleures pratiques.
Entreprendre des projets spéciaux au besoin.
Assurer l’exactitude de la paie en vérifiant soigneusement le travail effectué selon les normes établies, en recherchant et en corrigeant les erreurs de paie au besoin.
Effectuer d’autres tâches connexes au besoin (p. ex., répondre aux questions des employés).

Qualifications et formation :

Un DEC en comptabilité, avec expérience dans un domaine connexe, est un atout.
Une certification professionnelle, notamment l’agrément de spécialiste en conformité de la paie (PCP), est un atout.
De 2 à 5 ans d’expérience en traitement de la paie pour des entreprises canadiennes.
Solide connaissance de la législation canadienne en matière de paie, des normes d’emploi, des règles fiscales et des processus de déclaration de fin d’exercice.
La connaissance de la certification PCP de l’Association canadienne de la paie est un atout.
Expérience avec QuickBooks.
Maîtrise d’Excel (RECHERCHEV et tableaux croisés dynamiques).
Bilinguisme anglais-français.
Confidentialité, souci du détail et sens du service à la clientèle.
Bonnes aptitudes organisationnelles et capacité à gérer les priorités.

Job Summary:

Process payroll for salaried, hourly and mile-based employees of various provinces in Canada with a high degree of accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines.

Calculate and prepare salary adjustments, overtime, severance pay, or other special payments for multiple payroll groups, in accordance with company policies and current legislation.
Issue Records of Employment and respond to Service Canada inquiries.
Collaborate with internal business units to ensure that payroll processing accurately reflects company-specific compensation policies while complying with all legislations.
Reconcile and process contributions and payments to group RRSPs in a timely manner.
Administer benefits (enrollment, termination, changes, and invoice reconciliation).
Provide the finance department with payroll reports and details necessary to complete accounting entries.
Recommend and implement improvements to increase productivity, efficiency, service excellence, and full payroll compliance.
Balance year-end payroll costs with RL1/T4 summaries and distribute RL1/T4 slips for all employees, as well as issue T2200 and TL2 forms.
Respond to inquiries from the Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Québec, etc., regarding payroll in a timely manner.
Support the Human Resources department with payroll inquiries and all strategic business processes and efficiencies.
Audit the TD1 form, payroll summaries, year-to-date earnings, etc.
Perform data analysis and manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accruals, tax withholdings, benefit withholdings, etc.).
Reconcile Ontario WSIB, and New Brunswick Safety on a quarterly basis and process payments in a timely manner.
Prepare the annual CNESST reconciliation and make payments.
Manage wage garnishments and advance deductions.
Act as the departmental expert for payroll policies, timekeeping, and best practices.
Undertake special projects as needed.
Ensure payroll accuracy by carefully reviewing work according to established standards, investigating and correcting payroll errors if necessary.
Perform other related tasks as needed (e.g., answering employee questions).

Qualifications and Education:

A DEC in Accounting, with experience in a related field, is an asset.
Professional certification, Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) accreditation is an asset.
2 to 5 years of experience in payroll processing for companies in Canada.
Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, employment standards, tax rules, and year-end reporting processes.
Knowledge of Canadian Payroll Association PCP is an asset.
Experience with QuickBooks.
Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
Bilingual in English and French.
Confidentiality, attention to detail, and customer service.
Good organizational skills and priority management.
