Full job description

Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Restaurant Staff to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced food service environment, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry and Mediterranean style cuisine, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Operate POS systems, including Toast POS, for order processing and cash handling
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service
Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and upselling techniques
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
Support team members during busy periods by assisting with serving, food prep, or cleaning tasks
Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation throughout all areas of the restaurant
Demonstrate effective time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently during shifts

Requirements

Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices in a restaurant setting
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy hours
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving supplies as needed
Basic kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role
