This is not a traditional hourly employment position. Successful applicants join the MEINHAUS professional network as independent contractors and may receive access to renovation projects that match their trades, service area, experience, verification status and availability.

Professional Responsibilities
Professionals accepting MEINHAUS projects are responsible for:
- Reviewing the complete scope before accepting the work
- Confirming that the project matches their experience and capabilities
- Supplying the agreed labour, tools, equipment and materials
- Completing site measurements where required
- Arriving on time and maintaining the agreed schedule
- Protecting the customer’s property
- Maintaining a safe and organized work area
- Using licensed trades where legally required
- Following applicable building codes and manufacturer instructions
- Reporting concealed conditions before proceeding
- Obtaining approval for changes or additional work
- Providing progress photos and updates
- Communicating professionally with customers and MEINHAUS staff
- Removing project-generated debris where included
- Completing deficiencies related to their workmanship
- Delivering clean, professional and warrantable work
Applicant Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Residential renovation or skilled-trade experience
- Their own tools and standard equipment
- Reliable transportation
- A smartphone with internet access
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- The ability to read and fulfil written scopes of work
- Photos or examples of completed projects
- Appropriate trade licences where required
- Commercial general liability insurance
- Applicable workers’ compensation coverage or clearance
- A registered business or the ability to operate as an independent contractor
- The ability to provide invoices and business documentation
- A commitment to professional workmanship and customer care
Background, identity, insurance, licensing and business verification may be required before projects are assigned.
