Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeping Supervisor to oversee our company's financial record-keeping operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounting software and a proven track record in managing bookkeeping functions. This role is vital for maintaining accurate financial data, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning. The Bookkeeping Supervisor will lead a team responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and account analysis, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Duties

Supervise daily bookkeeping operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data entry and processing
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and collections
Perform account reconciliations for bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
Manage payroll processing using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Assist in budgeting processes by providing accurate financial reports and analysis
Maintain and update accounting records using various accounting software platforms
Train and support bookkeeping staff to ensure adherence to best practices and company policies
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Perform other duties as required.

Experience

Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License.
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative roles.
Prior experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger maintenance.
Experience with payroll processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working across departments.
Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and professional integrity.

Work schedule:

Approximately 40 hours per week / 5 days per week.
Mornings, Days, evenings and night shifts on weekdays or weekends.
Daily shift end times for associates vary based on production needs.

Pay: $24.03-$26.44 per hour
