SHOWROOM MANAGER

Are you a natural leader who enjoys taking lead to improve the work environment?

As the Best Plumbing & Lighting Showroom Manager, you lead by communicating the business objectives of Best Plumbing & Lighting to your Showroom team. Reporting to the General Sales Manager, the Showroom Manager is responsible for managing and leading the department in providing high-quality workmanship and service that ensures customer satisfaction. They ensure that the department team consistently meets performance expectations in terms of customer experience, sales growth, retail execution and profitability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Encourages and maintains a culture that values excellent customer service to all customers through effective training, supervision, coaching and performance management.
Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with a wide range of suppliers and customers, including builders, contractors, designers, and homeowners, to sell a large variety of plumbing fixtures and products
Leads by example and consistently delivers an excellent customer experience
Assist in resolving any customer/team member concerns or conflicts in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner
Provide product information including availability, accurate pricing quotations and follow-up on quotes, orders and delivery information
Authorize and ensure the validity of customer returns, exchanges, check authorizations, voids, and discretion discounts
Hold team members accountable for providing an excellent customer experience and recognize those who excel.
Assign work to Showroom team members according to availability, skills, and developmental needs
Ensures department is appropriately staffed through effective planning and scheduling
Provide professional development to Showroom employees, offer timely and constructive performance feedback; provide guidance and opportunities that enhance employee career growth
Select all materials and décor to compliment displays; merchandise and style the showroom to present our products in a visually appealing setting
Ensure that all products are coded in inventory, bin located, with current pricing displayed
Ensure discontinued items are transferred to clearance; prepare for annual year-end inventory count
Understand and enforce compliance with all company policies and procedures
Maintain confidentiality of all matters
Other duties as required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Outgoing, positive attitude and strong leadership skills
Very organized with high attention to detail
Quick responsiveness and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high pressure for results
Ability to meet strategic goals and objectives with little supervision
Ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, customers, and coworkers
Enable to initiate and embrace change, coaching skills, and desire to train others
Time management skills

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Minimum Grade 12 education required
Candidates should possess a minimum of two years’ sales experience (counter sales, inside sales, or showroom sales)
Prior Plumbing Retail Sales and Management experience is strongly preferred
Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems
Understand the basics of design and interior decorating
