Full job description

At Bob Dale Gloves (BDG®), protecting people is our top priority. As a North American hand protection and personal protection equipment (PPE) supplier, this enthusiasm has guided us for over 40 years. We do this by working with our distribution partners to meet the safety needs of customers across the continent.

We are in need of a highly engaged and action-oriented individual to work directly with our Controller. This role is essential to our growth and ability to achieve our strategic objectives. As part of you regular duties you will be overseeing the monthly financial statement preparation and day-to-day financials. This role will also involve

This is a full-time on-site position in the Edmonton office.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Prepare monthly financial statements, including performing initial variance analysis and investigating significant fluctuations to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Oversee month end reconciliation activities, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and proper resolution of reconciling items across balance sheet accounts.

· Compile and coordinate monthly tax filings for North American operations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and reporting requirements.

· Prepare weekly financial reports for external stakeholders, delivering accurate, timely insights to support transparency and informed decision‑making.

· Analyze financial results and identify trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support operational improvements and strategic decision‑making.

Experience & Skills Required

· Minimum 5 years of accounting department related experience.

· CPA designation or currently enrolled in the CPA program.

· Post-secondary education in business, commerce or a related field.

· Proven ability to form productive relationships with all levels of an organization on an ongoing basis.

· Strong communication skills.

· Excellent time management.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

· Experience with Microsoft Business Dynamics is a plus.

· Experience with US tax filings is a plus.
