This is a full commission sales role designed for individuals who are self-motivated, highly professional, and committed to delivering an outstanding ownership experience from the first introduction to long after delivery.

Position Summary

As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for building relationships with customers, identifying their needs, presenting Volvo products, and guiding them through every stage of the purchasing process. You will be expected to generate your own business while maximizing dealership traffic, referrals, and repeat customers.

Success in this role comes from exceptional customer service, strong product knowledge, consistent follow-up, and a commitment to personal growth.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers in a professional, friendly, and consultative manner.
Understand customer needs through effective questioning and active listening.
Demonstrate and explain Volvo vehicles, technology, safety features, and available financing and leasing options.
Conduct engaging vehicle walkarounds and test drives.
Build and maintain a strong customer database using the dealership CRM.
Consistently follow up with prospects through phone, email, text, and video communication.
Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, community involvement, and social media.
Maintain expert knowledge of Volvo products, competitor vehicles, and current market trends.
Accurately complete all required documentation and sales processes.
Deliver vehicles while ensuring customers fully understand their new vehicle's features.
Work closely with the Finance, Service, Parts, and Management teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
Participate in all required manufacturer and dealership training.
Meet and exceed monthly sales, customer satisfaction, and performance goals.
Represent Volvo Cars Hamilton with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm at all times.

Qualifications

Previous automotive sales experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Sales experience in retail, hospitality, luxury goods, or customer service is welcomed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed in a commission-based environment.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Comfortable using CRM systems and technology.
Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
OMVIC certification (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
